Spreads and meat snacks
Two different checks live here. For peanut butter and spreads, it’s xylitol and cocoa: the Jif and Skippy labels I found list neither, but Nutella lists cocoa, and any jar needs its own label check. For meat snacks, it’s salt and garlic: jerky, Slim Jims, hot dogs, pepperoni and Spam are all salty, and pepperoni lists garlic powder. Each page names the label I used and where it came from.If your dog already ate something that worries you, call your vet, ASPCA Poison Control at (888) 426-4435, or Pet Poison Helpline at (855) 764-7661.
No red-flag ingredient on the label (still not dog food)
